The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Truth

The Good

I don’t often review products, but every once in a while I stumble upon something so fabulous, I decide to share it with the world. Today I bring you Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish. It’s easy to use and really works. Just spray on a stainless steel surface, buff with a paper towel and voi la!  Every claim made on the label is 100% true. This product provides streak-free shine and even prevents fingerprints and smudges.

I’ve tried glass cleaner, vinegar, soap and water and a variety of all-purpose cleaners on my stainless steel kitchen appliances and NOTHING works as well as Weiman’s. read more

Cultural revolutionaries attack the very referents of our daily lives. The Jacobins’ so-called Reign of Terror during the French Revolution slaughtered Christian clergy, renamed months, and created a new supreme being: Reason. read more

The World According to Lulu: Find Something to Make You Happy. Even on the Bad Days.

Hello. My name is Lulu. I am a dog. Welcome to my world.

I live in a house. With a yard. With two humans. They are mommy human and daddy human. They are my family. They love me.

Even dogs with families who love them have bad days. This story is meant to remind you it is always possible to find something to make you happy. Even on the bad days.

Recently I had a bad day when mommy human took me to The Vet. The car ride to The Vet always makes me anxious. I do not like The Vet. This time they shaved a little patch of fur off one of my legs so they could stick a needle under my skin. Before I knew it I fell asleep and when I woke up my mouth hurt so bad I thought I would never want to eat again. This is a very big deal because as far as I can remember I have never not wanted to eat. The next time one of my humans takes me to The Vet, I will not to get out of the car. I will fight as hard as I can to stay put, but if they somehow get me out, I will not fall asleep. Bad things happen when you fall asleep at The Vet. read more

I suppose it’s because I am sporting a stylish pixie these days and I am way overdue for a haircut (and color). Check it out.  Please note, I don’t normally wear that much makeup… or sparkly stuff.  I was prepped for a ballroom competition. Anyway, for the first ten years of my life I sported a very short, not-so-cute (or at least that’s how if felt back then) pixie haircut. That’s me… top row, second from the right. read more
