The World According to Lulu: Everything’s Better with Bacon

Hello. My name is Lulu. I am a dog.

I live in a house. With a yard. With two humans. They are mommy human and daddy human. They are my family. They love me.

I take my humans on long walks everyday. Sometimes I take daddy human. Sometimes I take mommy human. Sometimes I take them both.

This morning I took mommy human on a walk.

She was walking kind of funny like I did that time I stepped on the ant hill last summer. A bunch of ants came running out and bit my paw over and over again. You wouldn’t think a bite from a tiny little ant would hurt very much. WRONG. It hurt so bad. I held my hurt paw off the ground and hobbled along on three legs. I didn’t see mommy human step on an ant hill, but I I know she was hurting because she hobbled along on our walk this morning just like I did last summer. read more

I live in a house. With a yard. With two humans. They are mommy human and daddy human. They are my family. They love me.

Even dogs with families who love them have bad days. This story is meant to remind you it is always possible to find something to make you happy. Even on the bad days.

Recently I had a bad day when mommy human took me to The Vet. The car ride to The Vet always makes me anxious. I do not like The Vet. This time they shaved a little patch of fur off one of my legs so they could stick a needle under my skin. Before I knew it I fell asleep and when I woke up my mouth hurt so bad I thought I would never want to eat again. This is a very big deal because as far as I can remember I have never not wanted to eat. The next time one of my humans takes me to The Vet, I will not to get out of the car. I will fight as hard as I can to stay put, but if they somehow get me out, I will not fall asleep. Bad things happen when you fall asleep at The Vet. read more

They are obeying a command to shelter in place in order to help stop the spread of coronavirus. I don’t know what coronavirus is, but I know it is important to obey commands. Hello. My name is Lulu. I am a dog.

I live in a house. With a yard. With two humans. They are mommy human and daddy human. They are my family. They love me. They love me more than anyone else in the whole world has ever loved me. I know this because they feed me and they talk to me and they play with me and they let me nibble on their clothes and sit next to them on the sofa, but mostly I know they love me because they save my poop. No one has ever saved my poop before. They collect it in a little bag that smells like purple flowers and carry it home when we’re out walking. I think this is funny because it’s just poop and as far as I know everybody poops, but mine is the only poop they save. That’s how I know they love me more than anyone else in the whole world. read more
